Things to do today include writing another six pages, getting the text boxes into some kind of shape, watching the video that RS sent, reading what’s already there and making edits. Figure out the artwork for the pages, schedule PT, find out if my car part is in. Do the sheets and marinate some shrimp, get things to the lawyer and catch S. up onn the chapters. And do this:: The fifth astrological house of Leo is, among other attributes, that of creative expression, celebrations and showing off, shining like your ruler Sun. It is all about stardom and negotiating the perks and pitfalls that come from being the center of attention. You are the golden boy of the zodiac; gold is the color associated with your sign. Even Leo men who reject the limelight expect it to be on their say so, like a reticent movie idol dodging fans—no autographs please. It’s when the fans’ interest fades that Leo loses his lust for life. So, we have a prescription for you that has lifted a great many Lion’s spirits and will put you in the frame of mind fit for a king of the sub/urban jungle. We have come to call this exercise Tabloid Fodder and it requires some secret role play, but that is right up your Leo alley. Did you ever stop to think how random it is that, in modern society, we have afforded actors and rock stars godlike status? It wasn’t that long ago that, culturally, theatrical performers were lumped together with beggars and thieves and other rabble of ill repute. Why don’t we worship brain surgeons or inventors or charity workers or teachers? It is truly ridiculous that, in the epoch of reality television, you can become famous for being fatuous. The point being: celebrity is totally arbitrary. Which brings us to the exercise: You are to imagine that you live in a world where what you do for a living or what your greatest passion is in life, which should be one and the same for you, is the main occupation by which one achieves fame in this world. So, let’s say you sell insurance: You need to more than imagine that an insurance salesman is the occupation of which the world and its inhabitants are most in awe, you must fully embody the concept. In truth, you do what you do out of choice—there is no such thing as a default career. Doing what you do for a living affords you certain benefits and freedoms. See the cover of the tabloid in your mind’s eye, the headline might read: Insurance Salesman Hounded By Fans. How do you feel, act, walk, talk and otherwise engage in the world knowing that everybody wishes they could trade places with you?
