Cancer 3° (June 23)

The Russians want to perhaps purchase Cosmic Coupling. Senor FF is outside all day making noise. I apparently sleepwalked a whole scenario last night that I do not recall. Today I am putting all back on track. I’m ready to move this forward post Mercury’s retrograde. I hope whatever erosion I’ve caused can be reversed. I think it can. Onto the work: We are going to practice a little wishcraft, or rather you are. The first step is to make a running list of what you long for in life. But hold up—before you start rattling off all the things you want realize we aren’t talking about things and we’re really not talking about want. As we liken the cardinal-water sign of Cancer to a wellspring, a source of a stream or river, which speaks to the forward rush (cardinal) of both emotion and intuition (water), we are really speaking to feeling goals and about longing itself. True longing and wishcraft are really one and the same. Let’s illustrate this point based on past experience: Take pen to paper or grab your voice recorder and recount three to five peak experiences in life when you felt fantastic (and yes you can include a sexual encounter); describe the experience in detail, speaking in the present tense; then read or listen back, and in so doing you jot down all the times you read or hear you’re mentioning a feeling and how many times you repeat yourself on that score. The feels you mention most in describing these peak events constitute your feeling goals, those which you long to experience again. So, now you can go ahead and play it forward and, using your intuition, search yourself for feeling goals you’ve yet to experience in this lifetime. Add them to your list. You might now have a few dozen feeling goals you long for but we’re going to ask you to narrow that list down to just four (all the others will keep and you will get to them eventually). Draw a square and along each line, inside or out, write the four feeling goals you’re most longing to achieve at this juncture. Keep putting yourself in touch with these feelings, working your intuitive muscles even more—you can focus on all four equally or one or two exclusively for a period of time, which could last up to a few years. (Yes, this is another exercise to last a lifetime.) And there are some deeper resonances to all this wishcraft stuff, as with each feeling goal you pinpoint as an intangible object of your deepest longing, you have gained a chunky nugget of wisdom about yourself and journeyed that much further into the mystic. It bears repeating: Mysticism is wisdom that is inaccessible to the intellect and only gained through intuition.
