Cancer 7° (June 27)

I must remind myself to also update the sponsors on the website. And to send thank you to Christina. I will first get Jesse everything he needs and create the invoice. Then I will move to sponsors and sparklers. I need to send the “names poster” to the printer for a test. I will go to pick up la S at the ferry in Provincetown and we will come directly back home for a hot minute before we head to lunch at our favorite Lower Cape spot Sunbird (I had fish tacos and S had some kinda salad of course). There needs to be a rewrite about us having invented the AF with the support of close friends who also happen to have been performers I think that might be the ticket on that score: more ownership. I don’t feel as if my original board is truly on it. Some things I have to write today:

Following up on my Spahhhkler note I sent last month. Working more by email than the usual FB shout-outs this year as I find many people don’t much use the FB anymore (which is a very good thing, considering). We would love to have your return support and to be able to offer you PAIRS of tickets to all our shows at our special half-price Sparkler rate and PLEASE SAVE THE DATE: Monday, September 9 for our Opening Eve Repast at Baie Bar Resto where Chef Raina Stefani will be working her usual magic with some accompanying organic-y libations! For those of you who aren’t in town during festival, we will gift your Sparklership to seniors or students or others who might otherwise want to see our shows and would appreciate the half price tix!

Our roster this year are mainly new, emerging talent or those who aren’t as fame-ish as some of our original performers have become over the nine years. So we face some challenges at the box office on that score—all the more reason to hit the notion home that: Afterglow has always brought great artists and acts you’ve probably never heard of so audience must trust the curation. I think our track record has been quite stellar in regard to our eye for talent. But we are relying on the non-profit support that much more this year. And remember we are a 501 (c) (3) charitable arts organization so you can write off your donations to the full extent of the law. We try to give a lot of bang for your bucks!

That should be fairly easy to tailor to Sparklers too. I am juggling a lot a lot. The rest of the day was pretty fun we just got into bed and caught up on a whole lot of television which is our total ritual when reuniting after a long time away; and today was a bit exhausting in that we had to go to lawyers to do our wills which is something nobody wants to do but has to do. It was good to make a few pitstops along the way but we basically just broke out the popcorn and watched till we dropped. Big Little Lies has become a total soap opera but it’s so much fun to watch Meryl overact; and the new City on the Hill is fairly excellent and the first time I really liked Kevin Bacon. The actor who plays the younger of the two hoodlum brothers is also quite remarkable. I’m going to look up their names now as I sign off. I do promise to get more create or astrological or both in the coming weeks as this platform will be being used to launch some work needing drafting in any case. So hang tough.

To view the original Sabian Symbol themed 2015 Cosmic Blague corresponding to this day: Flashback! The degree pointof the Sabian Symbol will be one degree higher than the one listed for today. The Blague portrays the starting degree of for this day ( 0°,  for instance), as I typically post in the morning, while the Sabian number corresponds to the end point (1°) of that same 0°-1° period. There are 360  degrees spread over 365 or 6 days per year—so they near but not exactly correlate.

Typos happen. I don’t have a proofreader. And I like to just write, post and go!
