Scorpio 10° (November 1)

Day Eighty E.D.A.N.O.W.W. This is one of the hardest days of my life. First off, I struggled to fit all the last drops I had to pack into the car. But I managed to leave around noon and met with Richard and unpacked the car again all in one night. I will live amongst boxes for many days but not too, too long. I will take myself out tonight for braised short ribs at Strangers. I was reviewing some stuff I wanted to write about: So we are intrigued by the notion of a project, potentially written under our real names (TBD) that tackles the entirety of what The Zodiac is all about. As mentioned this concept with that simple title has been on our publishing to-do list forever (with an eye on some kind of PBS series to coincide, perhaps, a la Joseph Campbell). We just always imagined doing it, under our pennames, at a later point after we moved the needle on the S+C publishing roll-out which is tee’d up with two major ideas at present. However instead of getting into an either-or dichotomy here, we want to explore the possiblity of simultaneity, continuing to roll out the S+C brand in book form, while we also go behind the veil and explore and hopefully partly explain what the Zodiac is all about. The Zodiac book itself might be divided into various sections—history of Z, uses of Z, philosophy of Z, including our own. The fact is that S+C are actually part of the Astrology’s evolution, that we play an historical part in its story and it’s development. So there is an objectivity toward even our own participation in the pseudo-science that makes our usage of our real names here purposeful and pointed—it is part of the history of the field to take on a separate name, a “handle”,  for the purposes of ones practice and participation as an astrologer, something that dates back centuries. I need to write my philsophy, within the confines of my existing brand, even if I am stepping aside to write about the entire advent of astrology, in which we play if only a small part, from an objective perspective.

To view the original Sabian Symbol themed 2015 Cosmic Blague corresponding to this day: Flashback! The degree point of the Sabian Symbol may at times be one degree higher than the one listed here. The Blague portrays the starting degree of for this day ( 0°,  for instance), as I typically post in the morning, while the Sabian number corresponds to the end point (1°) of that same 0°-1° period.
