Gemini 12° (June 1)

Rabbit, rabbit. Slow morning but I haven’t slept as well as I did last night in probably a year. I’ve been taking a long time to write chapters but I’m hoping that now that I have a third of the book in the can that I can start speeding up for the second third and get that handed in so I can then have the rest trickle in. We shall see. The real estate market sucks and we aren’t fully on the same page as to how to approach it, but I am going to do my level best to make the right choices. Now, on to writing the necessary six-to-eight pages that will henceforth characterize the next fifty-six days (and nights): In our first book, Sextrology, the Leo man chapter is titled The Natural. This speaks to recognizing elements of self that are innately prominent, such talents and skills with which he was gifted in this lifetime. He won’t give time and attention to all his many natural abilities of, only those that inspire his true passion. The fixed-fire sign of Leo is a steady, slow burn; and once he has his heart set on a life pursuit, the Lion likewise sinks his teeth into it, most often proving that the realization of goals and dreams is largely due to never giving up on them. Being a Leo man is an inside-out affair, and, despite a ferocious determination, nothing about his life journey should have the slightest whiff of an uphill battle. You are here to meet your destiny on a level playing field, Leo Yeah, we’re talking to you. Leo shouldn’t subscribe to trying to grab for brass rings—his notion of reward is an ongoing process of being able to shine, more and more, through the creative revelation of his inborn endowments. All of the fire signs share a similar sense of being divinely touched, appointed or otherwise ordained; fire symbolizes spirit, in astrology and other esoteric disciplines: a divine spark (Aries), eternal flame (Leo) or flashes of genius (Sagittarius) that cannot be learned or otherwise gained through experience—you either got it or you don’t. The Leo man is pretty much programmed to pursue creative, career and personal goals, that is to say a winning combination of all three, at which he’s all but certain to excel. Life for him should be a no-brainer one way or another, and should he not be able to slam-dunk in a desired career role or professional field, say, one for which he burns with passion, he will likely work a job about which he cares little to absolutely nothing. In his career, specifically, Leo is typically either a great success or a complete underachiever. Either way, he’s not going to sweat some middling life pursuit that provides challenge but no loving feeling. He would sooner work some, even menial job that he could do in his sleep and front-burner non-vocational passions—activities, hobbies, artistic or sporting interests—for which he has the greatest affinity, and thus smack to him of a genuine experience.
